Lifeline Fraud

We have recently received a report of telephone fraud relating to the use of a lifeline alarm. An elderly Lincolnshire resident received a telephone call whereby a suspect claimed that their lifeline payments had stopped and that the victim had to make a payment to avoid the lifeline being cancelled.
Please be aware that this is fraud – a legitimate organisation would never demand payment over the telephone. Do not provide personal or bank details over the telephone. If you are unsure, then end the call immediately.  For police support please call 101. For enquiries regarding your lifeline please contact your local council directly
