LincsAlert Members Festive Message 2018

The Engagement Department at Police Headquarters would like to wish all our members a safe and secure Christmas holiday period.

Please accept a big THANK YOU for supporting Lincolnshire Police this past year.  We now have over 21,500 members registered on LincsAlert.

Three Important Festive tips:

One Christmas time

Do not display presents in full view under your tree if you are leaving your property unoccupied.  A thief will know that he can access a number of presents in one go, if they are ready and waiting for him.  Remember to pull curtains and leave on a light and radio to make your house seem occupied.

Two New Year

Do NOT show potential criminals what presents Santa may have bought you.  Ensure all cardboard boxes are either tied up or put inside your bins.  The box showing you have a nice new 50” TV will be a sure indication that your house is desirable to a thief.

Three Out and about

When out socialising, ensure you have a nominated driver; this person will keep you safe and alive on the way home and make sure no one is tempted to drive after drinking.  Remember you do not need to drink a large amount to be over the limit and our police teams are dedicated to catching ANYONE that drinks, takes drugs and drives.  Please do not take the risk.

If you find the festive period too much for you for whatever reason please do ring our control room on Tel; 101 and we can put you in touch with supporting organisations.  Our control room will be working 24 hours every day.
